Frequently Asked Questions
Will I Be Covered During the Session?
Yes. All clients remain properly covered at all times.
Will the Therapist Be Present While I Disrobe?
No. The therapist will leave the room until you are on the table and completely covered.
What Does A Massage Feel Like?
If you've never experienced a massage before, it begins with a variety of warm-up strokes to help calm the nervous system and relax surface muscle tension. As the body becomes relaxed, the pressure is gradually increased to relieve areas of muscular tension. Regardless of your massage experience, it is imperative that you communicate if you feel any discomfort so adjustments to the level of pressure can be made immediately.
How do I know which session to choose?
The average full-body session lasts 60-minutes. A 20 to 30-minute session allows time for a chair massage or regional work. A 90-minute session is an indulgence. If you are not sure what type of session, contact the office for help deciding.
What Should I Do During the Session?
Prior to the session, address any questions/concerns. During the session, allow yourself to relax. Most clients close their eyes and completely relax. Typically clients only communicate if they would like more or less pressure; however this is your time so feel free to ask the therapist if you have a question during the session.
How Will I Feel After the Session?
In general, clients feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, clients often experience increased energy, a heightened awareness and greater productivity.
What Are the Benefits of regular Massage & Reiki?
It can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture and reduce blood pressure. It is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
Are There Any Medical Conditions That Would cause a Session to be Inadvisable?

If you are under a doctor's care for a medical condition, please advise the therapist as written approval may be necessary prior to your session.
